| 1997 | University of New Mexico MPH Program was approached by a Region 6 HRSA MCH Consultant to assist with the development of a regional MCH public health education-training program | ||
| 1997 | A two-year grant was approved by MCHB for the UNM MPH program to hold a series of MCH public health leadership planning conferences, for the Rocky Mountain/Southwest States. | ||
| 1998 | The first planning conference was held in Albuquerque, New Mexico in April 1998. | ||
| 1998 | A regional MCH education needs assessment was undertaken as part of the MCHB grant. It was revised from the AMCHP Survey to include core public health competencies. | ||
| Aug 1999 | First MCH Summer Institute. | ||
| Aug 2000 | Second MCH Summer Institute. | ||
| Oct 2000 | Boston University Planning Meeting. | ||
| Nov 2000 | First RMPHEC Meeting at APHA. | ||
| Winter 2000 | Training Programs were developed. | ||

Rocky Mountain Public Health Education Consortium is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Utah Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation. Provider #P05-04 for the period 7/1/05-7/1/08. All UNA Members taking our courses will be given a 10% discount.
