Purpose:
The Rocky Mountain/Southwest MCH Public Health Summer Institute provides intensive interdisciplinary continuing education opportunities in MCH public health practice. Over the period of a week, Institute participants will have the opportunity to learn new skills and methodologies for expanding their expertise in core public health practice as well as to network with colleagues from the Rocky Mountain/Southwest states.
Who Should Come:
Public health practitioners, working at a local, tribal or state level in government agencies, community-based organizations, primary care centers and with community coalitions. This Institute is appropriate for all public health practitioners who wish to improve their core public health practice skills including but not limited to: nurses, physicians, social workers, nutritionists, health educators, community health representatives or lay health workers, families, community activists and other disciplines that contribute to improving the health of children and their families.

Rocky Mountain Public Health Education Consortium is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Utah Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation. Provider #P05-04 for the period 7/1/05-7/1/08. All UNA Members taking our courses will be given a 10% discount.
For NCHEC (National Commission for Health Education Credentialing Inc.) we are now an "Multiple Event Provider" #MEP2237 for the period of 1/1/05-12/31/08.
